Charlotte, NC (June 26, 2023) – Foundry Commercial is proud to announce it has hired Richard Coen as an associate on the Carolinas Land Advisory Team. In this role, Coen works closely with Tommy Trimble in Foundry’s Charlotte office, where the two identify land across the Carolinas to repurpose for the highest and best use, whether that’s single-family, multifamily, industrial, or other redevelopment uses. They also collaborate with Senior Vice President Sarah Godwin and Partner Karl Hudson, IV, who lead the land advisory efforts in Foundry’s Raleigh office as well as Senior Vice President Alex Perry, SIOR, in Texas.
Prior to joining Foundry, Coen worked at Biel Partners in Texas where he was responsible for sourcing off-market industrial land deals for a variety of private capital and institutional development firms. He also worked with Folk Land Management, where he advised and represented landowners regarding forest and wildlife management, wetlands and stream mitigation, wetland permitting, GIS mapping, and more. These previous experiences allowed Coen to naturally transition into commercial real estate, where he now represents buyers and sellers across all asset classes.
“While commercial real estate can be affected by any number of market fluctuations, one tenet remains constant – good land is always going to be valuable,” said Tommy Trimble, Senior Vice President with Foundry Commercial. “We’re excited to have Richard on our growing team now, and we look forward to tapping the added value he brings to our clients and our team.”
Coen graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental and natural resources with a business minor. He resides in the South End submarket of Charlotte.
