Boca Raton, Fla. (Aug. 14, 2023) – Foundry Commercial, a full-service real estate services and investment firm with offices across the Sun Belt, announces David Blount has been named among the South Florida Business Journal’s “40 under 40.” An awards luncheon took place on July 28, 2023, where David’s achievements and contributions to the real estate industry were recognized before an audience of business leaders and professionals.
Presented annually, the award celebrates young professionals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and community involvement. Blount’s recognition on the list is a testament to his impact on the real estate landscape in South Florida.
Chief Investment Officer of Foundry Commercial, Pryse Elam, praised David’s leadership skills, saying, “David has been an integral part of Foundry’s Development & Investments business, and his contributions have been invaluable in expanding our presence throughout South Florida. Blount, a Principal and one of the driving forces within Foundry Commercial’s Development and Investments platform, helps oversee all aspects of Foundry’s South Florida developments, including design, construction, and financing, as well as tenant relations for build-to-suit projects. David guides the development and execution of investment strategies, forging strategic partnerships, and managing a diverse portfolio of projects. He has direct oversight of a portfolio of more than $1.58 billion in industrial developments throughout the region with another $250 million in the pipeline. Alongside Ted Elam, Blount co-leads a team of nearly 30 investment and development professionals working together to execute on Foundry’s investments from Miami-Dade County through the Treasure Coast.
